There are estimates that the state of California will have to pay more than 2 million dollars for the birth of the octuplets. Why is everyone talking about this woman and her 14 children? It shouldn’t be such a big deal. I see a lot of reality shows with huge families and more to come advertised. My husbands Grandmother had 15 children during the depression and no one wanted to abort them? If Nadya would have aborted even 1 of them she’d be in the news. So why doesn’t everyone just shut the *&^%$ up!!!!!

Oh I also seem to remember a family about 10 years or so ago. Pampers donated, JC Penny donated clothes and people built them a huge home. They got a free van. n And alot more volunteers. And that was in the news as something so wonderful. Double standards again?????? And as far as Ann Coulter, she should have probably been aborted!!! She is some big deal just because she is a Bitch and gets paid for it. It’s apparent her parents didn’t raise her very well either so who is she to judge???
I also called 911, 29 years ago because my 2 older children left the back door open and the phone rang and I answered it . Within 2 minutes my 1 year old got out and I was off the phone looking for her for an hour, screaming and my neighbors came to help look. We searched and finally called 911. Someone found her in the lilac bushes with a McDonalds cup pouring muddy water all over herself. She is alive and married with 3 children now. Every mother loses their child for a minute or 5 minutes and gets hysterical!!! Why is it such a big deal that Nadya lost her 5 year old and got hysterical? He was found and he is alive DUH! Just stop this!
Cheryl, I agree with you. Although I don’t agree with Octomom’s decision and I do feel that it is very selfish to bring children into the world that you don’t have the means to care for, I also feel that people are over-analyzing everything that she does and did. It is not uncommon for a mother to panic (although is was strange and uncalled for that she repeatedly said she was going to kill herself). People (including myself) are frustrated that they, as tax payers, have to pay for her selfish decisions but that doesn’t necessarily give them the rights to pry into her life and judge her. I feel that if you are on welfare and need government assistance then the government should be able to monitor the decisions you make that directly effect the money they provide you with (i.e. the number of children you have, jobs etc.), that may solve a lot of these problems and put many of the American taxpayers frustrations at ease.
I agree but lets look at the dead beat Dads then. They are mainly to blame. They leave as soon as the responsibility arrives. I do have a grandson that is 8 yrs old. His father was married to my daughter happily until he was born. Then the stress of a new baby keeping him awake and whatever his problem was, he decided it would be better to sit in a bar and date the bartender and never see his son again. Child support has warrants out for him and he gets caught and they do nothing. He goes to court and makes up lies and hides the fact that he is working. They do not investigate. My daughter has not received any money from him and she has people that have seen him working and reported it to Child Support and they still believe him. So if the courts system would catch these guys and investigate ,the fathers would be paying and the taxpayers wouldn’t be. I have been to court with my daughter and witnessed the process and it is sickening.
Also the taxpayers are bailing out everyone else that made mistakes. High paid CEO’s that cheated the taxpayers so why focus on Nadya.
As far as her saying she would kill herself if my daughter wouldn’t have been found I would have felt like her, and when you are hysterical because you can’t find your child things do come out that you really wouldn’t do. It takes a village and I do hope she gets a reality show. Everyone else seems to when they have a lot of children.
I also drove school bus and saw pregnant teens, the social services wouldn’t help them with birth control but they helped them find resources to get them cribs, formula, pay their hospital bill and even give them a car seat Ha Ha, I asked one of the young girls if she was going to put the car seat on her bicycle!! She wasn’t even old enough to drive! That baby went home with that mother, now why wouldn’t social services step in there and take her child away because she had no brains to raise a child. The system is broken everywhere. Leave Nadya alone and spend the money they are spending on her publicity to fix these other major problems!
Cheryl, there is a difference between this situation and what I assume you are referring to as the McCaughey septuplets(?)
1- Those were because of fertility drugs This woman had IVF where they implant eggs inside to make you pregnant. Completely different things.
2- The McCaugheys were TWO parents who only had one other child and , this woman already has 6 children and partner to help raise the children.
3- The McCaugheys were capable of supporting their children and did no look to the state to do anything for them, the donations they received were mostly from their church and other religious groups, not the government. Octomom was already getting aid from the state because she couldn’t even support her initial family, let alone adding 8 more to it.

So any smart comments on the health care buying cribs and formula and paying the hospital bill for pregnant teens and giving them a free carseat. Won’t even consider helping out with birth control, and what about the dead beat dads. The system is easy to play and people are learning that.

The child is missing 30 minutes. Why would she say she is going to kill herself so many time? After the video the things she said about putting her mom in the trunk and then getting a kick out of listening to her roll around in a trunk? Disturbing to me. Those kidos sure seem to be very angry at their mom and those little babies…sad.
