The octomom’s obsession with the actress.  Did Nadya Suleman get plastic surgery to look like Angelina?

If you ask Nadya Suleman, she will strongly deny any sort of obsession or particular fondness for the actress. As we all know, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Nadya Suleman has, despite her claims to the contrary, gone to great lengths to imitate Angelina Jolie.

There are the claims of plastic surgery (which we cover here: Nadya Suleman Plastic  Surgery). In her interview with Ann Curry, Nadya Suleman flat out denies that she has had work done, despite many experts pointing out the obvious differences in her nose and lips. Website seeking donations put up in name of Nadya Suleman family

Photos of each of the octuplets go public

A website has gone up, claiming itself to be the Nadya Suleman Family Website, and soliciting donations to help offset the costs of the octuplets’ medical bills, as well as costs that will be associated with raising them. The site appears to have been created and put up by her public relations firm, Killeen Furtney, and lists the firm’s mailing address as where people may send donations via mail.

The site also includes photographs of each of the Nadya Suleman octuplets (included above), as well as listing their names and birth weights.

The site raises some obvious questions, the most obvious of which is the identity of the benefactor of the donations. Killeen Furtney has already made it very clear that they are for the time being donating their services to the Nadya Suleman family, so it would follow that they might have an interest in recouping the value of some of this donated time by soliciting donations in the name of the family. Furthermore, the site credits NBC for its photographs. Wouldn’t a site representing Nadya Suleman have the necessary access and permission to take its own photographs of the octuplets?

Ms. Suleman’s apparent plea for donations has already generated quite a bit of buzz on the internet, with many highlighting her own fiscal irresponsibility as a reason not to donate. Many cite both the roughly $50,000 she owes in student loans and her financial unpreparedness for raising 14 children as reasons not to donate, as well as what she has been receiving in public assistance. Others take a more sympathetic view with an eye towards the well being of the children in explaining why one should donate.

Is Nadya Suleman receiving death threats?

Reuters is reporting that death threats have caused Nadya Suleman to go into hiding, fearing for the life of herself as well as the 6 children she already has. Michael Furtney, who is a public relations consultant currently representing the family, says that she has been placed in an “undisclosed location” for the time being, which really means until her next nationally televised interview.

The last anyone has publicly seen Nadya Suleman was on her Dr. Phil interview, which aired February 24th. The interview was actually filmed on February 19th, and since then Ms. Suleman has avoided the public spotlight and has been laying low.

Furtney says that most of the death threats relate to her “taking advantage of the system”. Ms. Suleman, who maintains that she is not on welfare, receives food stamps to feed her children, as well as disability payments relating to a 10 year old injury she sustained during a riot at the mental hospital at which she was employed. In a public statement issued by Mr. Furtney, Nadya Suleman does not consider herself to be on welfare because these programs are designed to help people in need, which she does not consider to be welfare.

Clearly, whoever is making these death threats has neglected to consider the cost 14 orphans might have to the system, but to each his own.

While all of the commotion of death threats and national interviews has been going on, another Nadya Suleman photo has surfaced, one of her getting an ultra-sound while she was pregnant with twins.
